Top pick: #7 (GRAN THE MAN) (5-1) - One of several who are lightly-raced and have significant room for upside. Grey gelding ran evenly while finishing fourth of nine here at this level going 6-furlongs May 30. It was his first since early August and he most likely needed the race. Can take this at a square price with some improvement.
2nd pick: #9 (Hidden Warrior) (10-1) - Long shot moves up in class having won three of his last six facing weaker. He was sharp in defeating $16K 'open' claimers here May 31 and draws a nice outside post for his stalking style.
3rd pick: #3 (Tiz Time to Shine) (3-1) - On the sidelines since early September, son of 'Tiznow' broke his maiden that day in a $127K stakes at Finger Lakes. Speedy and working fast for his return, he'll be very tough if ready.
4th pick: #8 (Hunt's Road) (7-2) - Thistledown invader joins the barn of Todd Pletcher this afternoon. Lightly-raced colt moves way up in class after breaking his maiden there May 16. He's a NEW gelding and Pletcher wins at a 26% rate with new arrivals.
