Top pick: #1a (EAGER LEADER) - Daughter of "More Than Ready" finished a rallying foourth last out at this level and distance in her first back off a 8 1/2 month layoff. She did so despite some serious traffic issues and may have been best. Drops for her second back and her trainer (Linda Riice) is excelent second off the bench (27%). The top pick, she's coupled in the wwgering with "Bernie's Pal".
2nd pick: #1 (Bernie's Pal) - Has excellent early speed and will be moving to the turf following a pair of pace-setting efforts second-place efforts on the dirt. Win threat from her inside post.
3rd pick: #5 (Hennessy Light) - Mare is now 5 1/2 years old and has only started three times, so she has some major issues. She's working nicely for her first race in 13 1/2 months and trainer Richard Schosberg's main-rider (Edgar Prado) is aboard.
4th pick: #7 (Heck) - She chased in her debut at Aqueduct last November and tired from her efforts. That contest proved to be against a strong field and filly is training up at Saratoga for her return. Can factor this afternoon.
