Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #3 (CLIFFS OF DOVER) (7-2) - Steady sort stretches out a bit after missing by a 'neck' here at this level going 8.5 furlongs May 27. Stalker draws a good post and should be involved from start-to-finish. The addition of blinkers last out was a positive move.
nd pick: #4 (Fulmer) (3-1) - Away since November of 2014, he was an impressive maiden winner that day on the Aqueduct turf. Working well for his return, the distance isn't a problem, and Chris Clement is adding lasix. Trainer wins at a 25% rate off of long layoffs and a 27% clip when adding the blood thinner.
rd pick: #8 (Hirschbein) (5-1) - 'Long-winded' type is racing third back from almost a 5.5-month layoff. Grey gelding can run 'all day,' and this nine-furlong distance suits him fine. Stretch threat.
th pick: #11 (Harbor King) (8-1) - Speedy veteran was caught in the last two strides racing at this level going just a bit shorter May 27. Effort matched his carer best, and he'll take them as far as he can.
th pick: #12 (Ode to the Hunt) (6-1) - His post is of no help as he lacks early speed. Can factor with a late run, but will need a fast and/or contested pace for anything more than a minor award.
