Premium Pick

Top pick: #1 (DOCTOR DEMPSEY) (2-1) - Colt was a "game" & was a "gutsy" winner when debuting against tough "open" special weight foes at Santa Anita on April 19. Son of "Harlan's Holiday" cost $220K as a yearling, and trainer Bob Baffert has brought him along slowly. Working fast, he has the rail, and faces fellow New York-breds today after shipping from California.

2nd pick: #10 (Ogermeister) (5-1) - Gelding pressed a fast pace while wide and held his position late to check-in fifth of 10, beaten three lengths racing at this level on April 5 at Aqueduct. It was his first since Sept. 19th, and the field was very "deep." Working well since, and 3yo was a maiden winner here when debuting on May 16 of 2013.

3rd pick: #2 (Station Chief) (4-1) - Lightly raced colt tired badly at this level and distance racing here on the grass May 15. Don't think he cared for the surface, and he's since come back with a bullet half-mile breeze May 27. Son of "Disco Rico" was very sharp in both prior dirt starts and must be left in the mix.

4th pick: #7 (No It's Not) (12-1) - Longshot raced both wide & evenly when finishing fourth of eight, beaten seven lengths racing here at this condition on May 17. May grab a minor award with a stretch rally.

5th pick: #8 (G W's Hammer) (15-1) - Consistent facing weaker, he's been sharp in three straight facing claimers, and is another that may grab a small share at long odds.
