2nd pick: #3 (Straightaway May) (5-2) - The morning line and probable favorite, 4yo is working well above average for his first race since July 9. Very sharp here in both starts at that time, trainer Wesley Ward wins at a 28% off of long layoffs, and at a 24% clip when rider John Velazquez is aboard.
3rd pick: #1 (Ten Twenty Nine) (8-1) - Stretch runner shortens up a furlong following a pair of 2nd place finishes at this level going a mile. He has a ground saving post, is capable of 'off' going, and it's noted that Jose Ortiz is aboard for the first time.
4th pick: #8 (Hampton's Holiday) (12-1) - Longshot He made up some ground going six furlongs at this level April 15. It was his best since returning from a 8.5-month layoff Feb. 16, and he's one of two who have won here in the past.
