Top pick: #10 (PEACEFIELDS ) - Has good speed and a nice post to use it from. His turf races are acceptable, and they all came against tougher. Dropped recently into a claimer by Bill Mott, he finished 2nd at this price in a contest that was "switched" to the main track. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #1 (Native Mambo) - Lightly raced and improving, he finished a close-up 3rd two back here at this distance, then finished 2nd at the Spa in a 5 1/2 furlong contest. Has enough tactical speed to not let this inside draw hurt his chances. Win candidate.
3rd pick: #4 (Shareholderdues) - Tries the grass for the first time this afternoon. Gelding raced evenly in a pair of dirt sprints at Saratoga facing tougher. Drops for this and makes his 3rd start back off a 7 month layoff.
4th pick: #2 (Ancient Sunlight) - He missed by a "neck" here on July 5th at this 7 furlong distance, then raced evenly at Saratoga going around two turns racing for $50K. Drops in half and cuts-back back to 7/8th's. Contender from close range.
