Top pick: #10 (STORMY SKY) (3-1) - One of two entered by trainer George Weaver and the pair race uncoupled. Daughter of "Sky Mesa" chased while wide on a muddy surface at Saratoga when debuting on Aug. 22 and held to finish fourth in a good initial effort. Bred for the turf, she's worked three times on it heading into this and she draws a nice outside post at this 7-furlong distance.
nd pick: #7 (Militsa) (15-1) - She's shown solid early speed before tiring in a pair of dirt sprints to begin her career. Freshened up since Aug. 3, home bred has been bet in each outing and daughter of "Yes it's True" is bred to enjoy the turf. "Live" longshot.
rd pick: #1 (Giant Crystal) (6-1) - Debuting daughter of "Giant's Causeway" cost $450k a year ago and has been in steady training since mid-June. In a good barn (Graham Motion) filly can factor if ready.
th pick: #6 (Lightning Lucy) (6-1) - Another making her debut and she's also by "Giant's Causeway." Her works are solid and trainer Kiaran McLaughlin wins at an 18% first time out.
th pick: #12 (Unbridled Sonya) (20-1) - Longshot tired after rushing up following a slow start when debuting at this distance on the "Spa" dirt Aug. 31. Grey daughter of "Unbridled's Song" has breezed twice since and is bred to enjoy the grass.
