Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #6 (ELLERY LANE) (5-1) - One of three entered by trainer Chad Brown and they all race as separate betting interests. This Irish bred is lightly-raced and is making her second start in No. America. She ran a bit 'head strong' at this level going a mile Aug. 19 at Saratoga in her first start in 14 months. She's worked three times since, shortens up in distance, and Castellano sticks with her. Three-year-old gets a very small edge.
nd pick: #8 (Tizanillusion) (6-1) - Speedy filly has spent her entire career on the grass and has gone 10-2-5-1. She's finished second in two straight at this level going shorter and should be in this every step despite trying a longer distance.
rd pick: #2 (Beat the Benchmark) (5-2) - Another of the Chad Brown trained trio, $300,000 daughter of 'Speightstown' hasn't raced since Oct. 30. Competitive in all three starts last year, she finished third in the rich G1 Natalma Stakes at Woodbine Sept. 18. Dangerous if ready.
th pick: #1 (Quality Time) (6-1) - The third member of the Brown team filly is another Irish import. Four-year-old rallied to finish fourth at this level going 5.5 furlongs at Saratoga Aug. 28. It was her first in No. America and first since July 8 of 2016. Barn brings her back quickly and stretches her out to a mile.
th pick: #12 (Battlement) (4-1) - English bred filly was only a length in back of 'Tizanilusion' at Saratoga Aug. 14 and has been sharp in both previous starts in England at this seven furlong trip. Stretch threat.
