Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #4 (CANDY TYCOON) (2-1) - Colt was reported at Saratoga to be one of Todd Pletcher's better 2yos and was bet down to 4-5 in his debut Aug. 17. However, he was bumped heavily at the break and was a bit green and 'hard to handle' before checking in third. Pletcher removes this one's his blinkers, has John Velazquez aboard, and I think this son of 'Candy Ride' can get his maiden today.
2nd pick: #2 (Aasr) (3-1) - A $340,000 son of 'Into Mischief', he debuts off of some sharp works for Chad Brown, 20% (51-of-258) with first-time-starters in 2018-19. Colt stayed at Belmont during the Saratoga meet and is a win candidate.
3rd pick: #5 (Bourbon Rising) (10-1) - This son of 'Uncle Mo' sold for $150,000 this past March as a 2yo in training. Longshot worked steadily at Saratoga without starting and enters off an above average half-mile local gate breeze Sept. 13.
