Top pick: #9 (ALL MINE TONIGHT) (5-2) - Mare is racing third back from a 6 1/2 month layoff, and she just missed last out at Saratoga going 5.5-furlongs at this level. Strong finisher stretches out in distance, draws a nice outside post, and retains Castellano.
nd pick: #8 (Nonnie Connie) (10-1) - Longshot was only two back of "All Mine Tonight" at Saratoga Aug. 24, and she had a very troubled and wide trip that afternoon. Stalker had a big half-mile work just seven days ago and is racing second off a two month freshening.
rd pick: #7 (Jenny's Creek) (8-1) - Veteran mare finally got her maiden win in late August going 8.5-furlongs on the "Spa" lawn. One run type has several good tries here in the past at this distance (4-0-1-2), and think she can grab a share at a square price. However, Castellano, who was aboard last out "jumps ship" for "All Mine Tonight."
th pick: #4 (Amber Morning) (8-1) - Jersey shipper has been sharp in three straight Monmouth turf sprints facing $25K 2l "open" claimers. Strong finisher is in career best shape and is back in with fellow New York breds for the first time since early Nov. of 2013. Don't just ignore her.
th pick: #5 (G Note) (10-1) - Lightly raced Broman home bred has been on the sidelines for 100 days and will be shortening up a bit in distance. Filly by "Medaglia d'Oro" is working well, fits on her best "figures," but gives away a recency edge to the other selections.
