Top pick: #1 (ENTRY of 1-BE BULLISH & 1a-BACK FORTY) (2-1) - At press time, both halves of this Dave Jacobson trained entry are still in, and they give him a strong hand in this $40K claimer. Veteran "Bullish" is stretching out just a bit after a sub-par effort at Saratoga on a muddy surface Aug. 22. He's dropping a bit and is 8-1-5-1 at this trip. "Forty" won here over weaker just 10 days ago in his first off a Jacobson claim. Lightly raced 6yo is six for 16 on the dirt and is a win threat despite doubling up in price.

2nd pick: #3 (Coolusive) (6-1) - Stalker tired while wide here facing entry-level allowance foes on Sept. 7. It was his first off a 7-week freshening, and trainer Bob Barbara brings him back quickly and drops him down a bit. Dangerous with his best.

3rd pick: #2 (Summer Sunset) (7-2) - Veteran skipped the Saratoga meet, and is racing for the first time since July 13. He has back class, draws the rail, and is the main speed. A factor from start-to-finish with his "A" game.

4th pick: #4 (Nubin Ridge) (8-1) - Gelding runs first off a Greg DiPrima clam (14%), he switches him from turf to dirt, and cuts him back in distance. Capable on the dirt, but unless he runs a career best, a small slice is his ceiling.
