2nd pick: #5 (Tap Tap Taparoo) (5-1) - The second of the Rodriguez pair, $250K daughter of 'Tapit' debuts off of some sharp local works. She breezed a near bullet half-mile from the gate here Oct. 22 and looks set to be a factor first out.
3rd pick: #6 (Glossy) (10-1) - Home bred raced evenly here in a dirt race at this level and distance Oct. 8. She came back with a bullet half-mile breeze Oct. 23 and trainer Bill Mott is always better second time out. Longshot is bred for the turf and filly by 'Broken Vow' is dangerous at a big price.
4th pick: #7 (Mo Shopping) (5-2) - One of two from the barn of Todd Pletcher and the pair are separate betting interests. Debuting home bred by 'Uncle Mo' has been at Saratoga since mid-July and is now at Belmont with the closing of the training track there. Working frequently, Pletcher wins at a 22% rate first out and his long time go-to jockey John Velazquez is aboard.
5th pick: #3 (Shanghai Jewel) (6-1) - The second of the Pltecher trained fillies, she raced both wide and evenly when beaten three lengths debuting here on the dirt at this distance Oct. 8. Barn wins at a solid 31% clip second time out and this $245,000 purchase may factor at a square price.
