Gelding shortens up a furlong after missing by a 'neck' here at this level going seven furlongs Sept. 21. Stretch runner draws a ground saving post and gets a very small edge.
2nd pick: #11 (Get Game) (9-2) - Gelding was less than a 1/2 length in back of 'Source Control' here Sept. 21. Only his second start, he's a strong factor if able to avoid a wide trip from his marooned post in this six furlong contest.
3rd pick: #9 (Alexander David) (3-1) - Un-raced since Jan 20, 4-year-old was competitive in a pair of grass sprints at Gulfstream Park last winter to begin his career. He has a new trainer (Tom Albertrani) and Javier Castellano is signed on. Dangerous if ready.
4th pick: #10 (For Pops) (6-1) - Speedy gelding set a quick pace before weakening to finish almost six lengths in back of 'Source Control' Sept. 21. It was a good effort and the cut-back of a furlong is in his favor.
5th pick: #6 (There He Goes) (10-1) - Disappointing colt is shortening up in distance after a pair of longer races at Saratoga that saw him tire during the stretch run. He worked fast here Sept. 21 and is a threat at a big price.
