It was her first start since Nov 24, and she's dropping into a claimer while shortening up a furlong for this attempt. I like her chances.
2nd pick: #9 (Annette's Humor) (9-2) - A daughter of 'Shackleford,' this $100K purchase finished a pace-setting 2nd at this level and distance April 17 at Aqueduct. It was her first ever on the grass and for today's attempt trainer Rudy Rodriguez has Javier Castellano aboard.
3rd pick: #6 (Freud's Secret) (12-1) - This longshot switches to the grass while dropping down in her second attempt. She raced evenly after breaking in the air in her debut on the Aqueduct dirt March 3. Veteran Chris Englehart (24% second time out) moves her into a claimer (17%) and has Junior Alvarado aboard.
4th pick: #10 (Taralluci) (6-1) - Lasix is added to this home bred filly by 'Lemon Drop Kid' after she had a useful debut April 10 at Aqueduct. She showed some early speed and would eventually finish 6th of nine, beaten 4.5 lengths while facing a bit tougher. Trainer George Weaver (18% second time out) drops her into a claimer (39%), and she must be left in the mix.
