Top pick: #1 (LIGHT WEIGHT) (6-1) - Price play draws the rail and drops in class after chasing and tiring following a "troubled" break here on May 2. It was her first facing winners, and she looked good when breaking her maiden at Aqu. on April 17 in her first since late Nov. 4yo has a solid shot at a square price.
2nd pick: #6 (Mononoke) (7-2) - Speedy sort set a slow pace and tired badly at this level on April 24 at Aqueduct. It was her first back from a 4 1/2 month layoff, and trainer Carlos Martin brings her back quickly for this attempt. Daughter of "Orientate" has done her best work on this surface (6-1-0-2), and she should be much sharper today in her second off the layoff.
3rd pick: #5 (Brown Mellisa) (5-2) - Daughter of "Derby" & "Preakness" winner "Big Brown" has finished non-threatening thirds in her last pair with both coming against tougher. She was a length better than "Light Weight" last out, but unlike that rival, she had no excuse. Drops and is a threat, but 3yo will be over-bet.
4th pick: #4 (Golden Annie) (3-1) - She takes on winners for the first time following an easy maiden win at Aqu. on April 2. Nicely spotted by trainer Ed Kenneally, filly still has room for upside.
