Top pick: #6 (THE BIG DELUXE) (9-2) - Veteran enters in top form and moves up a bit in class after a sharp win here in a $40K-optional claimer May 15. He draws outside of the other speed and that will give apprentice Eric Cancel some early options.
2nd pick: #2 (Victory is Sweet) (6-5) - The probable favorite, lightly raced colt drops in class after finishing 2nd in the $100k Chick Lang sprint stakes on the Preakness under-card May 16. Very quick from the gate, he breaks just off the rail and is an obvious win candidate.
3rd pick: #7 (Joking) (8-1) - He's been competitive in three straight at this level. One run type enters off a career best 'figure' June 5 and his best chance would be if a fast/and or contested pace develops.
4th pick: #1 (Madroos) (6-1) - Lightly raced 3yo has been freshened up since missing by a 'neck' April 26 at Aqu racing at this level and distance. Has the rail, is working nicely at his owner's private training center at Saratoga, and must be left in the mix.
