Three-year-old gelding by 'Malibu Mon' has been competitive many times in the past facing tougher and should be able to bat this group.
2nd pick: #8 (House of Friends) (7-2) - Colt tired here when debuting on the dirt at this distance May 14. Trainer Bill Mott (15% second time out) drops him into a claimer (22%) and switches him to the turf. $50K son of 'Include' is bred for the grass and is a major player.
3rd pick: #12 (New York's Zip) (8-1) - Speed/stalker has finished close up in his last two starts when racing here at this tag going longer. Veteran Leo O'Brien shortens him up in distance and gelding can track the pace from his outside post. Must be left in the mix at a square price.
4th pick: #9 (Secret Scholar) (12-1) - Freshened up since early April, gelding was improving at that time racing on the dirt. He's 'nibbled' at this level on the grass in the past and enters off a sharp half-mile work June 11. Believe he's a 'live' longhsot.
