2nd pick: #9 (Magician Man) (4-1) - He's shipping up from Philadelphia Park where he rallied to miss by a 'neck' when debuting in a dirt sprint May 23. Bred for the turf, trainer Tony Dutrow moves him to the grass, stretches him out in distance, and has John Velazquez aboard this $300,000 colt by 'Drosselmeyer.'
3rd pick: #8 (Chomsky) (5-1) - Freshened up for the past two months, this sped/stalker has been competitive in eight of nine starts since coming off a 19 month layoff a year ago. Working well and last out ran a big figure for an older maiden. Win threat.
4th pick: #1 (Clear the Mine) (8-1) - Un-raced since early December, gelding by 'Mineshaft' is working steadily for his return. Several of his a.m. drills are on the quick side and this 3-year-old has shown early speed a couple of times. Can factor at a big price if ready.
