Top pick: #3 (SIMPLY CARINA) - Daughter of the late "El Prado" cost a cool $825,000 and is starting to show improvement for a barn (Paulo Lobo) which is much better than it's record. Gray filly was only a 1/2 length off of today's rival "Silk Route" and should be a square price. Has a solid shot to break her maiden.
2nd pick: #4 (Silk Route) - Nice debut saw this filly by "Empire Maker" rally into a moderate pace to finish a rallying second. Barn (Bill Mott) rarely has them fully-cranked first out and she should be set for her best today.
3rd pick: #8 (Home Rule ) - Probable heavy favorite just misse last out (a "head") at this level going 8.5 furlongs. Gets a bit more yardage which works in her favor and she's an obvious win threat, though at a very short price.
