Top pick: #11 (A MARKED MAN) (4-1) - Gelding is clearly improving and his best effort to date came in his only turf appearance. Stalker enters off a second place finish in an "off the turf" contest and is the horse to beat.
nd pick: #14 (Stardom) (5-1) - Colt has finished third in both well bet starts, the latest coming here at this level going six-furlongs on the grass on May 4. Barn stretches him out, and this son of "Freud" is a win candidate if he scratches in off the also-eligible list.
rd pick: #1 (Dowse's Beach) (7-2) - Grey gelding makes his first start since last fall when he was competitive in all three outings racing at this level. Working well, he has the rail, and stalker is a win candidate.
th pick: #5 (Whyalwaysme) (10-1) - Bred for the grass, he's been freshened up since a pair of even efforts this past March racing on the dirt. Heavily bet in each at that time, he's training fast, switches to the turf, and has blinkers added.
th pick: #4 (Dreamin of Betty) (12-1) - In a good barn (Kelly Breen), this gelding ran deceptively well at Gulfstream facing tougher on March 1. Blinkers go on, and this gelding by "Freud" is a late threat at a big price.
