Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #8 (ABBOT) (5-1) - Price play moves back to the grass after tiring badly here at this level on a sloppy surface in a contest that was switched 'of the turf'. Sharp in both previous grass races, he has a solid shot at a square price.
nd pick: #6 (Our Way) (6-1) - Since coming off a seven week break Jan 30, this gelding has shown rapid improvement. He broke his maiden at this distance Feb 12 at Gulfstream and earned a big figure doing so. Sent to Tampa for a $75K stakes April 9, he finished second to a very promising winner. Freshened up since, he's been working nicely on the training track at Saratoga.
rd pick: #4 (Inspector Lynley) (8-5) - The morning line favorite, he enters of a troubled trip when beaten 3.5 lengths here at this level May 12. Home bred son of 'Lemon Drop Kid' was sharp in four straight on the grass prior to that and is an obvious contender at a short price.
th pick: #2 (Siding Spring) (8-1) - Speedy colt hasn't been on the grass since last fall. He was an easy maiden winner when debuting at a mile on Kentucky Downs last Sept., then finished a solid third in a G3 stakes at Keeneland Oct 4.
th pick: #1 (Gio's Calling) (8-1) - Lightly-raced, he rallied for a daylight maiden win going 8.5 furlongs on the Keeneland turf April 24. It was his first since early November and this $100K purchase has plenty of room for upside.
