Top pick: #8 (BOSS MAN) (7-2) - He's been freshened up since May 23 when he won a $35K claimer at Monmouth Park. He looked the winner every step in his first off a Jay Servis claim and a subsequent 2-month freshening. He moves up a bit and veteran Joe Bravo is in from New Jersey for the re-ride.
2nd pick: #9 (America's Guest) (6-1) - The main speed, he ships in from Arlington Park where he was a wire-to-wire winner there racing on the synthetic surface for this $50K tag. Race was taken off the grass, but he's just as capable on it. Dangerous on the front end.
3rd pick: #5 (Sharp Stick) (5-1) - Very lightly-raced 4-year-old ships in from Philly Park where he won an entry-level allowance June 14. A career best, it came in his second off a claim by the leading trainer there (Ramon Preciado). Working nicely, he's well spotted and rider Rolando Alvarado Jr comes in for the re-ride.
4th pick: #7 (Mills) (3-1) - The field's strongest finisher, he's dropping a bit in class and racing third back off a pair of layoffs. Gelding has back class and should get a solid pace to rally into.
