2nd pick: #2 (Chasintheblues) (8-1) - Speedy veteran has been idle since early December. New York bred spent the winter in training at Aiken, South Carolina, has done well locally (15-2-4-3), and is 5-1-1-2 at this distance. His early speed makes him a major factor at a big price if ready.
3rd pick: #5 (Dr Shane) (6-1) - A stakes winner as a 2yo in 2015, this stalker is making his grass debut. 4yo finished 2nd at this trip facing 'open' $50K claimers on the dirt at Aqueduct April 2, and that earned him a career best figure. Dangerous in this spot if he handles the turf.
4th pick: #11 (Tiz a Chance) (5-1) - Away since late December, stalker has a sharp local record (5-2-2-0), and it's noted he won his 2016 debut here following a similar layoff. I would like him a lot more if he had a better post position.
