Top pick: #6 (STONECOLDSTEAMER) - Nice debut saw this colt involved from start to finish sprinting at Aqueduct on March 22nd and hang on stubbornly to get beaten a neck. Trainer Rick Dutrow scratched him out of a turf sprint yesterday to await this one mile dirt race and Dominguez climbs aboard this afternoon. He and Dutrow click at a 32% rtae over the past 18 months when teamed-up.
2nd pick: #8 (Readbytheline) - He had a terrible trip last out as the favorite at Aqueduct and could only finish an even 4th. Gelding by "Read the Footnotes" stretches out in distance and is working fast, presumably with the blinkers that he wear today. Major factor.
3rd pick: #5 (The Kenosha Kid) - He's raced evenly in both sprints to date and improved his "figure" noticeably in his 2nd start. Very dangerous barn (Chris Englehart) will stretch this gelding by "Bwana Charlie" out in distance for the first time.
