Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #4 (TAMARKUZ) (8-1) - Long shot has yet to repeat his fine Middle East and European form in two starts in North America. He continues to train very fast and has more early speed than most entered. He's won five of six starts at this mile distance and may be ready for a big race at 'juicy' odds.

2nd pick: #5 (Red Vine) (5-1) - Very consistent 5-year-old has gone 5-3-1-1 since trainer Chris Clement switched him from turf to dirt. Stalker ships back from California where he ran third in the $1,000,000 Pacific Classic (G1) at Del Mar Aug 22. Can impact today from close range.

3rd pick: #2 (Honor Code) (4-5) - The probable heavy favorite, he's using this mile contest as his final prep for the Breeders' Cup Classic (G1) Oct 31 at Keeneland. Lightly-raced 4-year-old has won six of nine and is nearing the $2M mark in earnings. Strong stretch runner is training fast, is in career best form, and isa an obvious win candidate at a very short price.

4th pick: #1 (Appealing Tale) (6-1) - West Coast invader has the most early speed and is breaking from the rail. He's four for eight at this distance and enters in career best form. He's a threat if left alone on the lead in the first 1/4 mile.
