Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #3 (CHALON) (5-2) - Very consistent mare ships from Maryland where she won a $100K stakes going 6 furlongs May 17. She faced a very weak field that day in her first start since Nov. 3 when she missed by a 'head' at this distance in the Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Sprint at Churchill Downs. Stalker has gone 2-1-1-0 here in the past and will be tough in this spot.
2nd pick: #7 (Separationofpowers) (2-1) - The morning line and probable favorite, she's a lightly raced 4yo from the Chad Brown barn. Daughter of 'Candy Ride' finished an even third here in a G3 going 6.5 furlongs here May 11 in her first race since Sept. 22. She's won a pair of G1s in the past including the Frizette Stakes here at a mile Oct. 8 of 2017. She probably needed her latest and this was most likely her intended target right along. A very strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #4 (Pacific Gale) (7-2) - Daughter of 'Flat Out' has a stalking style and last out missed by a 'neck' here in a G3 sprint May 11. She was just over 2 lengths in front of 'Separationofpowers' that day and has a fine local record 5-2-1-1. In the mix.
4th pick: #2 (Mybigitalianfriend) (8-1) - A lightly raced 4yo by 'Union Rags', she moves way up in class after going 4-3-1-0 this year at Gulfsteam facing weaker. Barn (Jay Servis) is always dangerous and think this filly can be in this from gate-to-wire as she catches a field where her early speed is potentially dangerous.
