Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #2 (SWITZERLAND) (3-1) - Lightly-raced colt switches back to the dirt following a close up fourth place finish in a grass sprint at this level Aug 4. $500,000 son of 'Speightstown' has disappointed several times but is working fast and gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #1 (Tommy T) (8-5) - The morning line and probable favorite, colt has finished in both starts to date. He did so when debuting here going seven furlongs July 4, then held down the place spot going 6.5 furlongs Sept. 1 at Saratoga. An obvious win candidate, he has the rail and should be involved every step.
3rd pick: #6 (Commandering) (7-2) - Stonestreet owned colt by 'Bodemeister' cost $340,000 as a yearling back in Sept. of 2015 at Keeneland. He's finished second in three of five starts on the dirt and just missed at this level and distance on a muddy track Aug. 18 at Saratoga. Must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #5 (Curlout) (12-1) - Longshot is working fast locally for his first start since debuting in early Aug. of 2016 at Saratoga. NEW gelding had no chance that day after being bumped at the break in a contest that had a very talented field.
