Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #5 (RIDING FIRST CLASS) (4-1) - Freshened up since July 26, filly is working well, dropping in class, and is going turf to dirt. Stalker is from a top Midwest barn (Brad Cox), and he has Irad Ortiz, Jr. signed on. Gets a slight edge in a tough race.
2nd pick: #3 (Star Dynasty) (3-1) - Another that's dropping in class, she tired last out at Saratoga going seven furlongs for a $40K tag. It was her first off a claim and first facing winners. Daughter of 'Midnight Lute' should be involved from start-to-finish.
3rd pick: #4 (Dunn Listening) (6-1) - New York bred missed by a 'nose' racing at this level and distance at Saratoga Aug. 27th. However, she only had to defeat four rivals, and that foursome was on the weak side. Still, she can't be eliminated against this group.
4th pick: #8 (Little Miss Julia) (3-1) - She ships up from Philly Park where she was never involved after being 'bumped' heavily at the break. It was her first race in 3 1/2 months and she's dropping to a new low in class. A sharp half-mile work at Saratoga Sept. 5th indicates a better effort is coming.
