Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #6 (HIGH JINGO) (7-2) - A lightly raced mare, she was a winner at Saratoga Aug. 11 going 5.5 furlongs at this level. It was her third start back following almost a year's layoff and she earned a career best figure in her latest. 5yo by 'Shackleford' has a speed/stalking style and it's a plus that she's stringing starts together.
nd pick: #12 (Lovely La La) (3-1) - A home bred by 'Uncle Mo', she's finished second in two straight at this level, one going 7 furlongs July 5 at Belmont, with the latest Aug. 1 at Saratoga traveling a mile. 4yo has gone 7-2-3-0 on the grass and is from the barn of Chad Brown. A strong win candidate.
rd pick: #1 (Saratoga Treasure) (8-1) - One run typs fits and draws a ground saving post. Generazio home bred rallied to finish 4th at Saratoga Aug. 11 and was only a bit over 2 lengths behind 'High Jingo'. She's done well on the Belmont grass 8-1-2-2 and is a late threat.
th pick: #7 (First Appeal) (4-1) - No-speed type closed strongly to finish a length in back of 'High Jingo' last out. Veteran has more wins on the grass (6) than any other entered and is 3-for-8 at Belmont.
th pick: #2 (Stonefactor) (15-1) - She set a quick pace before weakening to finish right behind both 'High Jingo' and 'First Appeal' last out while a 1/2 length better than 'Saratoga Treasure'. Speedy sort was racing off just under a 7-month layoff that afternoon and should be involved every step.
