Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #1 (LIFE IMITATES ART) (8-5) - The probable favorite, son of 'More Than Ready' has been freshened up since Aug. 22nd when he missed by a 'neck' going 8.5 furlongs on the Saratoga turf. He had also run 2nd at the 'Spa' when debuting under similar conditions July 25. Working well for this attempt and the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #3 (Steamboat Bill) (5-1) - Speedy colt set the pace and held gamely to miss by a 'neck' racing here at this level Sept. 12th. It was his first in blinkers, and trainer Gary Contessa has worked him four times since. This son of 'Sky Mesa' should be involved every step.
3rd pick: #8 (Ballagh Rocks) (8-1) - Son of 'Stormy Atlantic' raced both wide and evenly when debuting at this level Aug. 30th at Saratoga. Freshened up since, colt is from the barn of Bill Mott (19% second time out), and colt worked a bullet half-mile on the 'Spa' training track Oct. 7th.
4th pick: #9 (Barahona) (10-1) - Longshot raced evenly after hitting the gate at the break when debuting here in a six-furlong grass sprint Sept. 26th. He's worked since, stretches out in distance, and has Lasix added.
