Top pick: #3 (FAIR TRADE) - Gelding ships back from Finger Lakes where he disappointed as a heavy favorite on Sep 21st. He takes a big drop in class for this attempt, has fine early speed, and breaks just off the rail. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #6 (Palace) - Lightly raced colt by "City Zip" comes off a very troubled trip here when he bounce off the gate at the start and fell during the stretch run. In his previous race he finished 3rd, only a bit more than a length back of "Fair", and if his latest doesn't effect him mentally he's a serious opponent.
3rd pick: #11 (Sunshawn) - Lightly raced colt has made up ground in all three appearances and trainer George Weaver will drop him in class and race him on dirt, both for the first time.
4th pick: #1 (River Ron) - Has the rail and runs first back off almost a three month layoff. He's been competitive in two of his four starts and grey gelding can factor with his best.
