Top pick: #2 (FEDERAL AGENT) (5-2) - Appears to be the type that can "run all day" and he's finished second in a pair at Gulfstream earlier this year going 9 furlongs. The extra 1/8th he travels today is in his favor and son of "Curlin," and gets the call in a competitive maiden contest.
nd pick: #9 (Hardest Core) (6-1) - He's one of two entered by trainer Kiaran McLaughlin and the pair race uncoupled. Son of "Hard Spun" has good early speed, is working fast, and races with lasix for the first time. Price play.
rd pick: #1 (King Balthasar) (12-1) - The second of the McLaughlin pair, he's lightly raced, and improved noticeably when moved to the turf here in his second career start. Son of "Big Brown" has the rail and should be in this a long ways at a big price.
th pick: #5 (Corinthian Summer) (3-1) - Another lightly raced, he's been competitive in both his starts, one each on the Gulfstream turf and the Keeneland "poly." He should have no problem handling this 10-furlong trip.
th pick: #7 (All Alex) (12-1) - Longshot ran a solid race at this level May 4th when he was only beaten 2 1/2 lengths while racing very wide. He's since come back with a sharp work, and if you like him, you get trainer Rudy Rodriguez at a big price for a change.
