Top pick: #7 (MEI LING) (3-1) - Filly tackles winners for the first time after an impressive maiden win here at this distance May 1st. Much improved of late and $500K yearling by "Empire Maker" has done all of her best work locally (3-1-2-0).
2nd pick: #3 (Hot Splash) (5-1) - One of two multiple winners signed on, speed/stalker just missed at Aqueduct on March 29th when racing at this level and distance. She's a much better horse since being claimed by Jay Servis last October and mare likes it here at 8-3-2-0. A factor at a square price.
3rd pick: #4 (Very Cherry Candy) (9-2) - The field's other multiple winner, filly has gone 6-3-2-1 since switching from the Woodbine "poly" to conventional dirt. In career best form at present, she stretches out a bit after finishing second here at this level going 7-furlongs just six days ago.
4th pick: #6 (Previous) (6-1) - Very lightly-raced, she broke her maiden going 7-furlongs on the Gulfstream dirt Feb. 27. It was her first in 9 1/2 months and Juddmonte home-bred ran evenly last out at this level on the Keeneland "poly." The figure earned in her maiden score was the highest any of these has attained and puts her in this if repeatable.
