It was his first race since Nov 29 and he probably needed it for conditioning purposes. Stretch runner is brought back quickly, has worked since, and Irad Ortiz Jr. stays aboard.
2nd pick: #9 (Touch of Paradise) (7-2) - No-speed type is back on the grass for the first time since early December. Four-year-old has done his best racing on the turf and has finished third in both starts on this course. Win candidate.
3rd pick: #10 (Majority) (3-1) - Un-raced since March 25, he's another that's moving back to the grass. Three-year-old has fine early speed and he enters off a fine half-mile breeze here May 16. He should be involved from start-to-finish.
4th pick: #6 (Ezra) (8-1) - Another with a bit of early speed, gelding is racing on the grass for the first time. He's bred to like the surface change and may hold down a share at a square price.
