Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #2 (CLASSY CHRIS) (3-1) - On the sidelines since Aug. 1 lightly-raced filly has finished second here at this level and distance in both previous grass attempts. Heavily bet in all four starts, she returns win a new trainer (Tom Albertrani) and he has Javier Castellano aboard. The top pick, but make sure you box your exactas as the long layoff is a bit of a concern.
nd pick: #10 (Carry Your Heels) (9-2) - Longshot tired while having some traffic issues when racing wide here at this level and distance April 28. Only her second career start in was her first since early July. She's worked fast since and I like the fact that trainer J.P. Terranova II brings her back quickly for this attempt. Win candidate.
rd pick: #5 (Lulu's Pom Pom) (5-1) - Grey filly hasn't seen action since finishing third here at this level and distance when debuting Oct. 22 in a contest that was taken 'off the turf.' Trainer Chris Clement wins at a 20% rate off of long layoffs and he's adding lasix (23%). It's noted that Irad Ortiz Jr. is aboard.
th pick: #4 (Grassarla) (10-1) - Longshot showed good early speed in all three starts last year at this level racing on the dirt. Four-year-old is working fast for her first since late October, including a bullet half-mile gate breeze April 14.
th pick: #3 (Fancy Gem) (8-1) - Debuting filly sold for $170,000 as a yearling back in 2015. Filly is training steadily and and is from a top barn (Rudy Rodriguez).
