Top pick: #2 (STALAGMITE) (3-1) - The probable favorite, speedy and improving gelding comes off a career best on May 26th. He rallied from just off the pace to finish second of seven, beaten just under a length when racing here at this level and distance. He draws a nice post and is the horse to beat.
nd pick: #1 (Awesome Lute) (4-1) - Gelding by "Midnight Lute" raced evenly after a poor start when debuting here at this tag on May 7th. Claimed that day by Dave Jacobson (26%) 3-year-old draws the rail and is a threat at a square price.
rd pick: #6 (Hidden Warrior) (7-2) - He's almost 5.5-years-old and is racing for the first time since early Oct. He's shown some speed in a trio of appearances facing tougher, is working well, and he runs for a hot barn (Linda Rice). A major threat if ready.
th pick: #4 (Mineral Water) (8-1) - Colt goes turf to dirt, shortens up in distance, and trainer Mark Hennig adds blinkers. Three-year-old appears to be getting his act together and may grab a share at a big price.
th pick: #10 (Thug Daddy) (10-1) - He showed some promise in a pair of well-backed starts last summer, but hasn't yet reproduced that form since returning from a 8 1/2 month layoff. Drops down today and he should show whatever talent he has in this spot.
