Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #12 (RO BEAR) (7-2) - Lightly-raced gelding is racing second back off almost an eight month break and is dropping into a claimer for the first time. He has a speed/stalking style, draws a good post at this trip, and races with blinkers on.
nd pick: #4 (Two Down One to Go) (3-1) - One of two entered by trainer Rudy Rodriguez and the pair race uncoupled. He's another dropping into a claimer and he's been showing improvement of late. $140K son of 'Kitten's Joy' has early speed and should be involved from start-to-finish.
rd pick: #2 (Lead by Example) (5-1) - Well bred 4-year-old returns off a 6.5 month layoff with some changes. He's a NEW gelding, is switching from dirt to turf, stretches out in distance, all with a drop in class.
th pick: #8 (There Goes Ben) (8-1) - The second of the Rodriguez pair, he rallied to finish second here at this level and distance May 21. It was a career best and came in his second back from a five month vacation. The faster the pace, the better his chances.
th pick: #6 (Kangaroo Style) (15-1) - Longshot hasn't race since rallying to finish second at this tag and trip on the Aqueduct grass course Dec 5. He's working steadily and had a quick 5-furlong drill June 10.
