2nd pick: #5 (Herecomesyourman) (2-1) - The morning line and probable favorite, he rallied to finish third here May 23 and this grey gelding was a bit over a length in front of 'All Go' on the wire. Stretch runner has been competitive in all three starts since coming off a bit more than a 3.5 month layoff April 5. 5yo is a strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #1 (Go Poke the Bear) (6-1) - He won at this distance for a $30K price tag April 17 at Aqueduct and was claimed away from Tod Pletcher that afternoon by Brad Cox. A lightly raced son of 'Kitten's Joy', he had a troubled trip last out for a $50K tag and was re-claimed by Pletcher. I like that he paid up $20,000 to get him back and this colt would love a fast and/or contested pace to close into.
4th pick: #8 (War Treaty) (6-1) - He ships up from Monmouth where he stalked, bid, and tired late to check in fifth of eight, beaten almost six lengths in a first-level allowance at this distance May 27. It was his first race in 2.5 months and this $550K son of 'Scat Daddy' is capable of factoring at a square price.
