Top pick: #2 (LOOMIN LORI LOU) (8-5) - "Lori" chased a quick pace and held to finish second here at this level and distance on a muddy surface on May 9th. It was her first back off a 7 week freshening and the "long gone" winner at that contest won a $150K stakes next out. Working fine for this and she's the horse to beat.

2nd pick: #6 (Sweethots) (4-1) - Filly has early speed and will be going turf-to-dirt and dropping into a claimer for the first time. Trainer Phil Serpe brings her back quickly (13 days) for this attempt and she's a factor at a square price.

3rd pick: #5 (Kicken Livi) (5-1) - Home-bred raced "greenly" when debuting at Saratoga in late July. She had a bit of early speed that day and is working steadily for her return. Good small barn (Mike Dilger) adds both blinkers and John Velazquez.

4th pick: #8 (Miss Electronica) (5-1) - One of three fillies making their debut, $65K daughter of "Roman Ruler" spent the winter in Florida at Palm Meadows. She has nine published local works since coming north in early April and trainer (Mike Hushion) has been on fire at this meet.
