Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #10 (SARATOGA LOVE) (7-2) - A lightly raced daughter of 'Palace Malice,' she's been on the sidelines since a pair of good efforts last Fall at this level and distance. She finished a pace-pressing 2nd here Oct. 11, then checked in 4th at Aqueduct Nov. 29, a contest where she was bumped at the break and had serious traffic issues late. 3yo has worked here three times since May 6, and both Lasix and Joel Rosario are added. She gets a slight edge if ready.
2nd pick: #1 (Strongerthanuknow) (3-1) - A speedy filly by 'Mineshaft,' she sold for $120,000 as a 2yo in training in March of 2019. Competitive in both grass sprints during the late Summers, she finished 2nd here at this level and distance Sept. 13. Unraced since, she's been in steady training at her owner's Colt's Neck Center, she has the rail, and Irad Ortiz, Jr. is aboard for the first time. A very serious win candidate.
3rd pick: #9 (Fractorization) (8-1) - This filly has made three starts missing by a 'neck' at this level and distance Nov. 23 at Aqueduct in her only attempt on the grass. A home-bred by 'The Factor,' she spent the winter working at the Palm Meadows Center, and must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #12 (Crescent Lady) (5-1) - The field's only 4yo, she's lightly raced and runs today for the first time since Aug. 15. Within range at the finish in each, all were at this level going a mile. Daughter of 'Scat Daddy' has been training steadily at Payson Park for Bill Mott, and he has John Velazquez aboard. She's capable of factoring, but her outside post hurts her overall chances.
