Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #1 (PIRELLI TOWER) (5-2) - Home bred has been sharp in both starts here at this level. He missed by a 'nose' going 8.5 furlongs when debuting May 11, then had some traffic issues and a wide trip when checking in third going a mile June 20. Son of 'Gio Ponti' has the rail and is from the hottest barns on the grounds (Chris Clement). Three-year-old gets top billing.
2nd pick: #6 (Bad Guy) (5-1) - Long time maiden rallied strongly to miss by a 'neck' here at this traveling a mile June 20. Competitive in all five starts on the turf, he should do so again today.
3rd pick: #7 (Mango M) (9-2) - Lightly-raced and expensive ($250,000) 3-year-old by 'Tale of the Cat' stretches out in distance after missing by a length here at this level going 6 furlongs June 7. It was his first ever on the grass and his first start since Oct. 19. He's worked fast twice since, is from the barn of 'Shug McGaughey, and it's noted that this gelding has taken betting action in each trip to the post.
4th pick: #2 (Fair Archer) (15-1) - He raced both wide and evenly when finishing 4 lengths behind 'Mango M' sprinting on the turf June 7. It was by far his best yet and home bred by 'Arch' should like this longer distance.
