Top pick: #5 (ANGEGREEN) - Italian-bred filly had a fine record in her native country and finished second in the $420K Italian Oaks (Group 2) in late May before coming to North America. She tired to run last at arlington on Sept. 15 in her first in this country and has much more talent to bring. Working nicely at Fair Hill in Maryland for this and John Velazquez gets aboard today.
2nd pick: #7 (Twirl) - Another import, this Irish-bred daughter of "Galileo" is group placed in both England and Ireland and has faced the best fillies in the British Isles. Very dangerous in her North American debut.
3rd pick: #6 (Thunderous Lady) - Very lightly-raced grey filly by "Thunder Gulch" is (4-3-0-1) on the grass and is still improving. She comes off a win at Laurel on Sept. 29 and takes on much tougher today in her first stakes attempt.
