2nd pick: #3 (Queen Nine) (5-1) - Daughter of "Henny Hughes" comes off a troubled trip at Saratoga on Aug. 29th. She had a tough outside post, was "bumped" at the break, and raced evenly while wide. Speedy sort drops, has a better draw, and should be involved every step.
3rd pick: #2 (Ascended Fever) (4-1) - One run type was only a 1/2 length back of "Sharon" on Sep. 2nd, then raced evenly and wide here just six days later. A fast and/or contested pace would help her chances.
4th pick: #8 (Pop Pop's Smyle) (12-1) - Longshot drops down and goes turf to dirt for the Persaud barn. Her record on the dirt is 9-1-2-2, and filly can factor with her best at a big price.
5th pick: #10 (Lavalette Gold) (3-1) - Lightly raced filly was scratched a week ago, and takes a big class drop in her second back from a 6 1/2 month layoff. Speed/stalker runs at a new low, and her early speed makes her a threat.
