Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #3 (RICHMOND STREET) (5-2) - The probable favorite, colt raced evenly when debuting at this level April 2 at Gulfstream Park. Since then he's finished second in three of his four starts and behaved badly in his lone poor attempt. Strong finisher is well bred, still improving, and has room for upside.
2nd pick: #1 (Big Timer) (4-1) - Home bred by 'Giant's Causeway' enters off a career best Aug 22 at Saratoga. Three-year-old set the pace and held gamely to finish third, just under a length in back of 'Richmond Street.' He has the rail and expect him to go right to the front. Dangerous in this spot.
3rd pick: #5 (Snag) (8-1) - Expensive ($460,000) son of 'Harlan's Holiday' stretches out in distance off a troubled outing, going a mile at Saratoga Aug 22. No-speed type was racing first back from a nine month layoff and he should be sharper in this attempt.
4th pick: #2 (Kitten's Dilemma) (6-1) - NEW gelding is also getting the addition of blinkers. He raced both wide and 'greenly' while never involved when debuting here at this level going a mile June 17. From the Chad Brown barn, trainer wins at a 27% rate second time out, 24% when adding blinkers, and 29% when riding Javier Castellano.
