Top pick: #6 (SILVER MEETING) - Daughter of "Badge of Silver" probably was best last out at Saratoga when she was beaten just under a length after being forced very wide in a 5.5 furlong turf sprint. Heavily bet in both appearances, 3-year-old also finished second when debuting at the Spa in an "off the turf" contest Aug. 7. Gets an extra 1/16th to travel today and should appreciate the wider turns here. Wins this with a "clean" trip.
nd pick: #3 (Allumeuse) - Florida-bred filly by "Rockport Harbor" spent the early part of her career in England and upon being sent back to the statets this spring grey 3-year-old finished a pace-setting second on this surface going a mile on July 4. Trainer Chris Clement has freshened her up for the past 70 days and he'll cut her back in distance for this attempt.
rd pick: #8 (Fire Assay) - Improving filly by "Medgalia d'Oro" raced evenly last out at Saratoga and is training nicely since for grass specialist Jimmy Toner. Runs third off a long layoff and she's a factor at a nice price.
th pick: #2 (Mi Hermana) - Daughter of "Distorted Humor" was bet down to favoritism in her debut at Saratoga August 3 and ran "rank" the entire distance while racing evenly. Working fast since for trainer Barclay Tagg and a major player if she's a bit calmer today.
th pick: #5 (Shocking Behavior) - Longshot has solid early speed and trainer J.P. Terranova has had her on the sidelines since May 15. Working steadily and well above average, grey filly by "El Prado" can impact at a big price.
