Four-year-old is winless in four starts on the grass, but has finished second twice and close up in the other pair. Training fast and he gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #1a (Wicked Freud) (6-1) - Longshot is stretching out beyond seven furlongs for only the second time. Stalker missed by less than a length on the Aqueduct turf going a mile last November. Home bred won a six furlong contest here May 22 and think he's a factor at a square price.
3rd pick: #6 (Vincento) (10-1) - Another longshot, he's had trouble at the break in his last two appearances. Stretch runner fits with his best and can be competitive at a big price.
4th pick: #2 (Adirondack Dancer) (2-1) - The morning line favorite, veteran speed/stalker is dropping a bit in class for this attempt. Seven-year-old is winless this year in four starts facing tougher, but has finished close up in his last three. An obvious threat, but at a very short price.
