Top pick: #1 (TRUE ROMANCE) (6-5) - The probable favorite, daughter of "Yes It's True" missed by a "head" when debuting here going 6.5-furlongs on Oct. 3rd. Filly earned a huge "figure," and it's nice to see her having worked twice at Fair Hill since that solid first outing. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #5 (Mallory Street) (7-2) - She hasn't seen action since Sept. 1st of 2013 when she finished a distant third in a stakes at Monmouth. Working nicely at Aqueduct for her return, and trainer Rudy Rodriguez wins at an excellent 31% rate off of long layoffs.
3rd pick: #7 (Candy Portena) (10-1) - Long time maiden ran poorly after a trouble start and was a dozen lengths back of "True Romance" on Oct. 3rd. She was racing evenly facing some tough fields prior to that, and think she can grab a share at a square price.
4th pick: #4 (Royale Rose) (5-1) - Grey daughter of "Macho Uno" raced evenly while finishing a distant third in a small field (six) when debuting here on a "muddy" surface Sept. 14th. In a good second out barn (Chris Clement 20%), and this 3yo should run a bit better on a fast track.
