Top pick: #4 (DISTORTED DREAM) - Gelding was an easy "winner" here at this level and distance on Sept. 12, but was subsequently disqualified for a "meds" violation after the post race blood test results came in. Working very fast for this and the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #7 (Rockin Boogie) - He's proven a big disappointment since showing promise as a 2-year-old, but is working fast for his first start since finishing fourth at Saratoga on Aug. 15. Trainer Bruce Levine is adding blinkers and Dominguez stays put.
3rd pick: #5 (Julius Caesar) - Son of "Empire Maker" cost $330K and has shown nothing in a series of three starts. Colt hasn't run since late Jan. at the Fair Grounds and has a new trainer (H. Allen Jerkens). Training fine and a price play in the same race exotic bets.
