Top pick: #9 (SARATOGA STEVE) - He's been freshened-up for the past three months by trainer Tim Ritvo and colt will be running in a claimer for the first time. If he brings his previous form off the rest he'll win this. Once past this runner, the race is fairly wide open.
2nd pick: #7 (Peyton's Heart) - Longshot is far better on the turf and his trio of grass starts have been against tougher. He could run well here at a very big price.
3rd pick: #10 (As Promised) - Deep-closer drops off a "throw-out" race in the mud last out. Had a pair of fine grass races at Saratoga that fit well here.
4th pick: #11 (Zeppie's Shadow) - Also-eligible needs a scratch in order to compete, but if in, he'd be part of the pace picture and could hit the exotics at a big price.
