Top pick: #7 (INVASION POINT) (5-2) - Gelding enters off a career best when he chased and held to finish 2nd here at this level on a muddy track Sept. 25. It was his first off a Chris Englehart claim and stalker draws outside of the speed types. The top choice, but make sure you reverse your exactas.
2nd pick: #6 (Hidden Warrior) (3-1) - Lightly raced 5-year-old chased while wide and stayed on to finish third, 2 1/2 lengths back of "Invasion Point" Sept. 25. It was his first off a two month break and that start came following a very long vacation. Speed/stalker is a win candidate in this spot.
3rd pick: #5 (Bad to the Roan) (4-1) - Speedy sort goes turf to dirt in his second back off a four month layoff. Grey gelding has worked since, gets blinkers on, and is in the three-horse win mix.
4th pick: #4 (Hampden Fiveone) (7-2) - Longtime maiden has gone 10-0-3-3 when racing on real dirt and is 3-0-0-3 here at Belmont. Stalker has been competitive in all four starts at this level and should be again today. Believe that a minor award is his ceiling.
